The Race

Land. Mud. Water. One Machine. No Motors. All Glory.

The Great Port Townsend Bay Kinetic Sculpture Race is a two-day spectacle of human ingenuity, absurdist creativity, and genuine athletic grit. Teams of racers pilot completely human-powered sculptural machines across land, through a sand pit, into the bay, across the mud flats , and back. No motors. No engines. Just people, art, and determination.

The race takes place over two action-packed days in Port Townsend, Washington , drawing hundreds of participants and thousands of spectators from across the region. It is free to attend and totally unforgettable.
